What does Building Automation mean?

A Building Automation System (BAS) is a way of modernizing, innovating, and controlling the mechanics and electrical aspects of the entire building.

You may only want to be able to control the air handler, rooftop unit and boiler to operate according to the outdoor temperature. You may also want to be more in-depth by incorporating your security and lighting system to be activated by a key fob. There are a myriad of ways that a building can become more automated.
